My clinic was honored to be one of only four finalists in the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) Practice of the Year (Sole Practitioner) category at the 2024 iO Awards. This recognition places the clinic among the very best in the UK—a testament to my commitment to providing exceptional care and making a positive impact on the lives of my patients.
A Night to Remember: Celebrating Excellence and 150 Years of Osteopathy
The awards ceremony took place on November 23rd, 2024, in London, as part of a grand evening celebrating 150 years of Osteopathy. It was an incredible occasion that brought together practitioners from across the country to honor the history, achievements, and future of this remarkable profession.
The celebratory drinks reception was a vibrant and inspiring event, filled with camaraderie and a shared passion for osteopathy. It was truly humbling to stand among other practitioners who are making outstanding contributions to the field.

Being selected as a finalist for this award is a true reflection of the dedication I bring to my work every single day. At Zuzanna Matras Osteopathy, my mission has always been to provide personalised and compassionate care that empowers patients of all ages to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. This recognition by the Institute of Osteopathy is a meaningful affirmation of my commitment to excellence in both General and Paediatric Osteopathy.

Special Focus: Paediatric Osteopathy
At Zuzanna Matras Osteopathy, one area of expertise that is particularly close to my heart is paediatric osteopathy. I am passionate about supporting the health and development of children, from newborns to adolescents, through tailored, gentle osteopathic care.
Paediatric osteopathy addresses a wide range of conditions, including colic, reflux, feeding difficulties, and sleep disturbances in infants, as well as posture and musculoskeletal issues in older children. By focusing on the unique needs of each child, osteopathy can help them overcome challenges and thrive at every stage of growth. Supporting children and their families in finding relief and well-being is one of the most rewarding aspects of my profession.
This recognition by the iO also highlights my commitment to paediatric osteopathy and the role it plays in fostering healthier futures for the youngest members of our community.
Looking Ahead
While I didn’t take home the top award this year, being a finalist in such a competitive field is a victory in itself. I am excited to continue building on this momentum, exploring new ways to serve all patients, and contributing to the profession I love.
